Dr. Sharif Said, Founder

Dr. Sharif Said earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University Dental School. While completing his general practice residency at the Hackensack University Medical Center, he received advanced training in complex dental treatments like dental implants and full mouth rehabilitations. His skills go beyond restorative dentistry, though! Dr. Said is also highly proficient in dental cosmetics, and would be happy to enhance your smile.

Dr. Jamil El-Samna, Co-Founder

Dr. Jamil El-Samna emigrated from Palestine to the US to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. Not one to stop learning, though, Dr. Jamil wen on to hone his skills under some of New York and New Jersey’s most prominent dentists and programs. He’s also very experienced in the field, having decades of dentistry under his belt and co-founding Anderson Dental and owning Kennedy Dental Center. Last but certainly not least, Dr. Jamil is the proud founder of the non-profit organization known as the United Holy Fund.

Dr. Hadi Najam

Dr. Hadi Najam views dentistry as the perfect fusion of science and art, so it’s no surprise that his continuing education courses include advanced training in implant and cosmetic dentistry! After earning his D.D.S and C.P.H. from the New York University College of Dentistry and the School of Global Public Health at New York University, Dr. Najam also learned specialty techniques during his residency at Hackensack University medical Center.

Dr. Najam has a generous spirit. He founded DrAcceptance, an academic consulting group that seeks to help pre-dental and pre-med students gain admission, and currently teaches residents at NorthWell Hospital as an attending clinical professor. If you’d like to further your dental education, Dr. Najam would be happy to answer your questions!

Dr. Muhammed Abey

Dr. Muhammed Abey is our lead orthodontist, and for good reason! He earned dental degrees from both Moscow State University in Russia and New York University’s College of Dentistry, and completed his orthodontic residency at new York University. Overall, Dr. Abey has more than 20 years of dental experience and over 10 years of orthodontic education in the US alone! As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he also has a certificate of education that allows him to work in New York University’s orthodontic department as an adjunct clinical associate professor.

Dr. Abey is a proud Circassian-American, and firmly believes that patients should be treated like family. We deeply appreciate the positivity and reassurance he brings to the office environment!

Dr. Mohamed Ali Boukheir

Dr. Mohamed Ali Boukheir earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, most practitioners jump into their residency programs, but Dr. Boukheir first completed an internship at Rutgers. His residency program at the John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago focused on Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, so he has quality training in facial trauma, jaw reconstruction, TMJ pathology, dental implants, wisdom teeth, IV sedation, and so much more!

Dr. Boukeir speaks fluent Spanish, French, and Arabic, making him a crucial part of the team. We appreciate how his language skills allow us to make excellent dentistry more accessible to more patients!

Today was my first visit to Anderson Dental Center. The waiting area was spacious & clean. I was a bit nervous because I have not been to the dentist in a while. Dr Hadi and his staff made me feel very comfortable. They were so professional, polite and represented great customer service. Happy to find a new dentist.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get emergency dental care?

If the emergency that you are experiencing is life-threatening, you should call 911 right away! For pretty much any other type of dental emergency, you should give us a call. This way, you can talk to a friendly member of our staff who can provide you with further directions. Most hospital ERs and quick care clinics aren’t equipped to handle dental emergencies, so if you go there, you are unlikely to get the treatment that you need to address the issue at hand. We are proud to offer same-day, evening, and Saturday visits for those who are experiencing dental urgencies.

How much does a cleaning and checkup cost near Bogota?

The cost of cleanings and checkups varies on multiple factors. This visit should begin with going over your health history and discussing concerns that you have. It should also include a thorough exam, professional cleaning, X-rays, and oral cancer screening. The average cost in markets throughout the United States is between $200 and $350. If you have dental insurance, these fees are likely partially or completely covered by your plan.

What If I can’t afford a dentist?

Dentistry is all about prevention, so it is affordable and offers high value to work with your dentist to prevent serious dental issues before they occur. Dental insurance is an effective tool to lower your out-of-pocket cost. Many people can get dental insurance through their employer. We are proud to be in-network with most major PPO dental plants, including Delta Dental, MetLife Dental, Aetna Dental, Cigna Dental, BCBS, and more! We are also happy to accept payments through CareCredit – a third-party financing company that can split the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly installments with little to no interest. If you have any questions or need help applying, let us know.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

All dentists in the United States must have received either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) from one of the 67 Accredited dental schools in the country. To get into dental school, you need to have a bachelor’s degree. Dental school is three years with a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. In addition to that, all dentists must complete a certain number of continuing education hours to keep their license.
